Activity 1:  Research on different types of networks.

  • Find any related articles or webpages/sites that are related to the different types of networks. 
  • Upon understanding on the different types of networks, answer the following scenario-based questions. 

Scenario 1:

A university campus has a CAN connecting various academic buildings, libraries, and administrative offices. The existing network is facing performance issues due to the growing number of users and the demand for high-bandwidth applications. How should the IT department upgrade the CAN to meet the increasing needs of the campus, and what are the benefits of the upgrade?

Scenario 2:

Sara needs to set up a PAN to connect her smartphone, laptop, and wireless headset. She wants to share files between her devices and use her wireless headset for calls and music. What steps should she take to create a Bluetooth PAN, and how can she ensure a secure connection?

  • You are given 3 days to work on this task. Write a summary report on your findings. Submit the report and the article via the link that has been provided by your course facilitator.
