It is inevitable that more companies go for internationalization process and HR plays a vital role in the success of the organization. Based on the case study, Alpha adopted decentralization, distributed leadership, employee empowerment and non-hierarchical work environment. The challenge is how to strike the balance between the centralization and decentralization control to oversea subsidiaries; standardize the policy across all the units but how much localization is allowed due to different cultures & regulations. Institutional of performance metrics needs technology to implement this. Besides this, the challenge of localization of workforce such as cost effectiveness and lack of IT skillset.  

It is a need to have strategy alignment on how to achieve global HR with support from top management, regular review and continuous improvement. Clear communication channel needs to be establised leveraging on advanced technology to ensure strategy alignment and effective flow of information.
