People management is about inspiring people to accomplish the organisational mission and vision. Whatever the approach is it is all about influencing and motivating people to produce and perform, whilst at the same time, sustain their well-being.

Key components of people management are people management, and people development.

People management includes how we lead our people through the work processes from the start - when we invite them to apply to our organisation (recruitment), to when we are selecting them to join (selection),  assign them to the place and job best fitting their strengths (placement), assign KPI for them to achieve, motivating them and empowering them to achieve their KPI, evaluating their performance, and rewarding them.
People development includes facilitating their growth so they unleash their best potentials and in return assist the organisation to grow. People development process includes, employee development programmes, on-the-job (job rotation, goal-setting, job enrichment, on the job mentoring and coaching), or off-the job (classroom training).
