The SHRM best practice by an Indian IT multinational enterprise, with a focus in a distributed leadership, employee’s empowerment, and non-hierarchical approach.
Apart from all great practices by Alpha to manage the employees and support their efforts to grow inside the organization, some managers in overseas subsidiaries still believe that the power is centralized in Alpha and decision are mostly India-centric instead of being global. It seems that Alpha still has to improve localization, HR’s approach is poly-centric and many programs for employees are in place.
Furthermore, reading the case study, I believe that Alpha’s HR will benefit enormously from listening more to ordinary employees that can easily turn into a weak links for the company. Probably by implementing special programs for these group of employees and teams the company will thrive further in international market.
