Awareness of the fact that attention to cultural differences is a necessary condition for increasing the effectiveness of human resource management can be regarded as the first step towards increasing the intercultural competence of managers of international companies. Many managers recognize the threat of potential problems that may arise when representatives of distant cultures interact. It should be emphasized that intercultural communications will be most successful if representatives of different cultures strive to meet each other halfway. Therefore, the development of intercultural competence is necessary for both expatriate managers and employees of subsidiaries. Human resource management can play an important role in facilitating the necessary cultural learning and development of a company's employees. Note that although globalization opened the borders of states more than half a century ago, the problems described in the study are still experienced by many HR managers. Therefore, a rich field for research on various aspects of human resource management in multicultural companies will attract researchers for deeper scientific research.
