One of the social reasons that caused HRM to evolve is the importance of racial equality. Companies are encouraged to be more diverse and accept staff from a variety of cultures. I believe this is an overall positive change, discrimination based on race is no longer tolerated in professional environments and this creates a friendlier, open-minded workplace.
