Activity 8.2

You’ve been asked to give a series of speeches on the importance of health care in poverty-stricken countries. One audience will consist of businessmen and women, one audience will consist of religious leaders, and another audience will consist of high school students. How would you need to adjust your speech’s purpose for each of these different audiences? How do these different audiences alter the rhetorical situation?

To complete this activity, answer the question above by:

  1. Forming a group of 2-3 classmates. Use Teams to get in touch with your classmates.
  2. Then, discuss this question together as a group.
  3. Finally, have one team member from your group to start a discussion post with the other remaining members to post their answers as replies to the discussion post.
