Innovative Assessment Icebreaker: Share Your Experience!

Objective: To familiarize asynchronous learners with each other while discussing their experiences and expectations related to innovative assessment.

Instructions:

  1. Introduce Yourself: Start your post by introducing yourself briefly. Mention your name, current role (e.g., educator, student, administrator), and any relevant background you have in assessment.

  2. Share a Memory: Think of a time when you experienced an innovative assessment, either as a learner or as an educator. Describe the assessment method and how it was different from traditional methods.

  3. Reflection: Reflect on the experience. Did you find it effective? What challenges did you face? What did you enjoy about it?

  4. Expectations: Conclude your post by sharing what you hope to learn from this module on Innovative Assessment.

  5. Engage with Peers: After posting, read at least two posts from your peers. Respond with a comment, either sharing a similar experience, asking a question, or providing feedback on their shared experience.
