Preparation:
- Spend 10-15 minutes reading about the concepts of reliability and validity in assessment. You can use course materials, textbooks, or reliable online sources.
- Reflect on your own experiences with assessments. Think about a time when you felt an assessment was either reliable, valid, both, or neither.
Discussion Post:

- Create a new discussion post with the title: "My Thoughts on Reliability and Validity".
- In your post:
- Briefly define reliability and validity in your own words.
- Share your personal experience with an assessment, mentioning whether you felt it was reliable, valid, both, or neither.
- Explain why you felt that way about the assessment.
- Pose a question to your peers related to reliability and validity to spark further discussion.
Engage with Peers:
- Over the next week, read at least three posts from your classmates.
- Respond to at least two of them, providing feedback, sharing your own insights, or answering the questions they posed.
- Remember to be respectful and constructive in your responses.
Reflection:
- After participating in the discussion, take a moment to reflect on what you've learned from your peers.
- Consider how you can apply this understanding of reliability and validity in future assessments, whether you're taking them or creating them.
