Activity 1B: Concept Mapping and Reflection

Activity 1B: Concept Mapping and Individual Reflection

Objective: To illustrate how key elements and concepts interrelate with one another in their contribution to the creative economy.

Materials Required:

Duration: 50 - 60 minutes

Instructions:

  1. Based on your selection from Activity 1A, select a different key concept terminology and a different theory - create a concept map on Canva to cover the two key areas:
    • Illustrate/Explain how these elements interrelate and contribute to the creative economy. You are encouraged to think about examples from real-world industries or cases that exemplify these concepts.
    • Reflective views on your learning. Some questions to prompt your reflections are:
    1. Which concept or theory did you find most interesting or relevant, and why?
    2. How do you see the role of creativity and innovation in the economy of your own community or country?
    3. What new insights did you gain about the creative economy?

  2. Post the link to your Canva concept board in the forum for group discussions.
    • To do this, you can select "Public View Link" in your Share feature in Canva.

  3. Provide at least two commentaries on your peer's concept map. You may want to highlight or comment on areas of shared similarities of views and input.

Remember, the Forum is a place for respectful and insightful conversations, so feel free to share your thoughts, ask questions, and collaborate with your peers. Happy discussing!
