Activity 1B: Concept Mapping and Individual Reflection
Objective: To illustrate how key elements and concepts interrelate with one another in their contribution to the creative economy.
Materials Required:
- Register and have Access to Canva Concept Mapping
- For Education account, you can register with your student email.
- Template Suggestion For Activity: Concept Map Terms Layout
Duration: 50 - 60 minutes
Instructions:
- Based on your selection from Activity 1A, select a different key concept terminology and a different theory - create a concept map on Canva to cover the two key areas:
- Illustrate/Explain how these elements interrelate and contribute to the creative economy. You are encouraged to think about examples from real-world industries or cases that exemplify these concepts.
- Reflective views on your learning. Some questions to prompt your reflections are:
- Which concept or theory did you find most interesting or relevant, and why?
- How do you see the role of creativity and innovation in the economy of your own community or country?
- What
new insights did you gain about the creative economy?
- Post the link to your Canva concept board in the forum for group discussions.
- To do this, you can select "Public View Link" in your Share feature in Canva.

- Provide at least two commentaries on your peer's concept map. You may want to highlight or comment on areas of shared similarities of views and input.
