Based on the case study, an adaptive approach to global HR for multinational corporations (MNCs) can be found and suggested by looking at the tactics used by Alpha, an Indian multinational IT company. The most important parts of an adaptive method are these:

1. Balance Control and Autonomy: Multinational companies (MNCs) need to find a balance between control from the parent company and the freedom of their units. This balance can be reached by sending expatriates to work in key roles in subsidiaries, making management policies for the whole organization, and keeping an eye on finances and other outputs.

2. Standardizing and Localizing HR Practices: It is important to make sure that certain HR policies, like pay based on performance, are the same across all groups. However, these policies must also be changed to fit local laws and conditions.

3. Applying a polycentric approach: This involves acquiring knowledge from and merging the best ways of doing things in global markets that are done by businesses. This method helps the organization's culture remain resilient while still letting local teams be flexible and came up with fresh concepts

4. Developing Strategic HRM Practices: To be successful, MNCs make business partnerships between HR and line managers, offer customizable HR solutions for strategic business groups, and encourage people to keep learning. This plan includes hiring the best people, paying them based on performance, teaching them all the time, and encouraging them to work together to solve problems and work independently.

5.Metrics and Value-Driven Performance Management: Using a metrics and value-driven performance management approach made sure that the company's goals are in line with the performance of both individuals and teams.

6.Supporting leadership at all levels, even in subsidiaries, helps make strategic choices that meet both global standards and local needs.

7. Cross-Transfer of Best Practices: Making it easier for best practices to be shared between offices and subsidiaries makes sure that the company's successful strategies are used everywhere.

Thus, for multinational businesses to have an effective adaptive approach to global HR, they should focus on creating a culture of empowered leadership and ongoing learning, as well as balancing global standardization with local adaptation. These tactics help MNCs make the most of their global reach while still adapting to the needs of local markets.
