People management is the key to boost productivity, engagement, and overall workplace harmony. The reason why people management is so important is because its impact on both employee satisfaction and organizational success, a company can't exist without human resources. Employees that feel under valued will quit so the manger must finds way to keep good people in his/her company. For example in 2022 20 companies in Australia initiated the shift to four-day work instead of 5. Since the covid pandemic people value more their personal time so managers had to do something concerning this issue. I completely agree with your points. I have been in a similar situation. The shift hours might also be additional for 5 days that can cause burn-out and impact their overall performance.
