A great case study! It is reckoned that effective teaching and learning is not determined by the number of hours but the effective design of what the learners 'need to know'. In our own experience developing the module content based on OBE system, the total hours of teaching and learning are fixed by the credit values for each module. When a module has higher credit values, the practice is to increase student independent learning time rather that the 'classroom interactive hours'. In such case, how do we ensure effective learning is happening in the part of independent learning, other than the measurement via assessment ?
