In the case study, the Alpha company leans toward a polycentric approach in regard to management style. This can be seen from the evidence in the document stating the percentage amount of local people needed in a company from the lower levels to the higher levels.

The polycentric approach allows for more locals to be employed as they are accustomed to the country's laws and regulations. Aside from that, the fact that these locals grew up in the country would mean that they are expected to fully understand the market better than gathering expatriates from the office branch. For a large company like Alpha which has resources from different countries around the world, the polycentric approach would still allow for diversity and creativity when other international branches share their strategies and events.

However, if a company is still not as large as Alpha wants to enter the international market but is still unsure as to which region would fit best, then the Region-centric approach. Combining a few countries into one similar region allows the company to research at a lower cost than operate in every single country.
