According to the case study, Alpha company adopted poly-centric approach for their Global HRM. It is a good approach so the local company & employee has more room to improve & keep innovating. However, it seems their mission to be more localize is hampered by several reasons. One of it is the diminishing attractiveness of IT as a career in the developed world with fewer people opting to study IT courses and in some countries.
In my opinion, they should try to use geo-centric approach so it will be more efficient in utilizing the most suitable employee regardless their nationality. In addition, it helps to integrated between parent company & host company.
