Social and economic reasons that brought about recent transition in HRM :

1. Increasing globalization: with growing amount of companies with demands, we are facing a borderless workplace. Therefore, companies are seeking opportunities to expand overseas which result in HRM to recruit the right person at the right time. 

2. Emerging market: according to increasing globalization, multinational companies are seeking more new opportunities to improve their return of equity.

3. Competition: competition for external skills leads to changes within HR to interact with the business. 

The management of global mobility is key to all three issues and HR is key to the management of global mobility. It suggests HR to be involved with business planning decisions, organization's strategy, to have the ability to select local employees with required skills who understand local environment to contribute long term business objects.
