The Covid-19 pandemic made hybrid working possible, and this led to HR needing to relook at various aspects of its policies and procedures in relation to recruitment (e.g. online interviews), retention of workers (e.g. allowing work at home several days a week) and performance evaluation (e.g. online work tracking apps). Then came the Russia-Ukraine war that led to higher inflation, followed by the explosion of user-friendly AI tools that provided easy access to information and analysis.

True, Technological advancements have impacted many industries in finding skilled talent and made HRM more selective in recruiting people to avoid skills gaps.
