We need to be clear about the learning outcomes we want to achieve when we design the content of the learning material. Also, we need to do a brief background check on our learners before we start the course, if we have access to learner background information, so that we can design the content to take care of the learners while having a backup plan for the extremely weak and the extremely good learners in the class. This plan attempts to reduce the likelihood that certain groups of learners will be excluded from the learning process. We also need to prepare different learning methods for the contingency plan and different assessment methods to ensure that the learning process is carried out effectively.
