HRM is the process of recruitment, retaining and training human resources in an organisation. As organisation grows globally, HRM becomes global orientated. Global HRM can be influenced by several approaches: Ethonochenic, Regional Centric, Geo Centric, Polycentric. How an organisation adopts these approaches will influence the decision making and culture of the organisation of the host countries they operate in.

As different countries have different values, organisations have to take into account of both parent and host countries when working with each other. Some of the values are individualism, uncertainty avoidance, masculinity, long term/short term orientated, specificity.
