In my opinion, the adoption of Strategic Human Resource Management (SHRM) by academics and HR professionals aligns with organizational goals, emphasizing the strategic integration of HR practices to drive business success. SHRM focuses on aligning HR strategies with broader business objectives, leveraging human capital to gain a competitive edge. While self-interest might influence some, the overall emphasis on the benefit and value that SHRM provides to organizations outweighs the downsides. I agree with SHRM as it favours the attainment of organizational goals through strategic HR alignment.
