HRM has undergone a transformational shift towards a global context, owing to the phenomenon of globalization. This paradigm shift has brought about significant alterations in conventional HR practices such as recruitment, training and employee benefits.
The essential characteristics of global HRM are as follows:
1. Adaptation to external factors, including political, economic, technological, legal and social influences.
2. Adaptation to internal factors such as cultural diversity and variations in the value of currency.
In my view, the most crucial aspect of global HRM is the adoption of a multicultural approach and the establishment of appropriate regulations that enable all workers to perform optimally.
