Activity 5 - Interpreting Statistical

Instructions

1. Watch the Videos:

  • Before participating in the discussion, make sure you have watched the two videos on Interpreting Statistical Findings in Cyberpsychology Research.

2. Discussion Prompt:

  • Choose one of the following statistical methods covered in the videos (normality test, correlation analysis, regression analysis, independent t-test, ANOVA, or chi-square test).
  • Apply it to a hypothetical or real-life cyberpsychology scenario (e.g., social media usage and self-esteem, online gaming and stress, or cybersecurity awareness).
  • Interpret the findings you would expect to see from this analysis. For example, if you choose correlation analysis, explain what a positive or negative correlation in your scenario might mean.

3. Post Your Response:

  • Write a 200-word post in the discussion forum, clearly stating:

     - The statistical method you selected.

     - The cyberpsychology scenario you applied it to.

     - Your interpretation of the expected statistical findings.

4. Peer Interaction:

  • Reply to at least two classmates' posts by providing feedback or offering an alternative interpretation based on the data or context they described.
  • Your responses should be thoughtful and contribute to the discussion, focusing on areas such as alternative statistical approaches, potential limitations, or the implications of the findings.
