Activity 5 - Interpreting Statistical
Instructions
1. Watch the Videos:
- Before participating in the discussion, make sure you have watched the two videos on Interpreting Statistical Findings in Cyberpsychology Research.
2. Discussion Prompt:
- Choose one of the following statistical methods covered in the videos (normality test, correlation analysis, regression analysis, independent t-test, ANOVA, or chi-square test).
- Apply it to a hypothetical or real-life cyberpsychology scenario (e.g., social media usage and self-esteem, online gaming and stress, or cybersecurity awareness).
- Interpret the findings you would expect to see from this analysis. For example, if you choose correlation analysis, explain what a positive or negative correlation in your scenario might mean.
3. Post Your Response:
- Write a 200-word post in the discussion forum, clearly stating:
- The statistical method you selected.
- The cyberpsychology scenario you applied it to.
- Your interpretation of the expected statistical findings.
4. Peer Interaction:
- Reply to at least two classmates' posts by providing feedback or offering an alternative interpretation based on the data or context they described.
- Your responses should be thoughtful and contribute to the discussion, focusing on areas such as alternative statistical approaches, potential limitations, or the implications of the findings.
You are not able to create a discussion because you are not a member of any group.
