Welcome students! In this lesson, we are going to look at what Empathy is. We will understand the needs, behaviours, experiences of users and will be diving deep into users’ needs, emotions, and lived experiences. Understand the key principles and aspects of empathic design will help to create solutions that resonate with users, ultimately leading to more successful and user-friendly products and experience. We will also discuss how the topics are going to be delivered as well as how you will be assessed.
Completing this topic will enable you to:
1. Explain how empathy is integrated into Design Thinking processes.
2. Develop a set of questions designed to uncover users' deep-seated needs and emotional responses, appropriate for use in empathy visits. Document problems through empathy.
3. Complete a Persona factsheet that includes demographic data, psychographic profiles, user needs, frustrations, and goals.
4. Analyse research through observation and listening
