Hi everyone! I'm Liew Yong Kian, but you can call me Mr. Yong Kian. I'm excited to be joining you here at Asia Pacific University (APU) this semester. Before coming to APU in October 2022, I spent 14 years as the Head of the Industrial Design Department at the Malaysian Institute of Art. I also have experience in the office furniture industry, where I worked as a research and development executive for 2 years. I hold a Master of Science in Industrial Design from the University of Technology Malaysia. My passion lies in sustainable materials development, design thinking, and design creativity. I enjoy working with students from all over the world, regardless of their background or beliefs. Let's have a great semester together!
