According to research, the purpose of aligning learning objectives, assessments and learning activities is to promote learning and enhance students’ learning experiences. However, as an educator, I am inclined to raise the question: “how willing are the student to learn and improve their learning experiences?”. If the students do not have the right mindset to learn, no matter how good we align our learning objectives, assessments and learning activities, it is going to fail at the end. It is well accepted that, a student’s mindset towards learning plays significant role in achieving the learning objectives. Therefore, it is equally important to align the student’s mindset to initiate and play active role in learning that eventually profoundly affects the quality of learning, development of skills and also success in other areas of learning.
