In my perspective, people management is the practice of supervising and guiding the individuals within an organization. The main reason why people management is important because it helps to promote employee well-being and satisfaction. Organizations should provide a healthy space in which the employees can have work life balance. I feel like this is what most people struggle with nowadays where they overwork to meet expectations sacrificing the time for family or even themselves. This will lead to unwanted stress, insecurities or even excessive tiredness. People in leadership positions should always check with their employees if he/she feels overloaded and try to solve the issues they are struggling with in order to complete the work within the working hours. I believe key components like active listening, clear communication and conflict-resolution will help to achieve this.
What is people management, and why is it so important?
