HRM is the process of recruiting, developing, and managing employees to achieve organizational goals. It ensures employee well-being, productivity, and compliance with relevant laws.
SHRM aligns HR practices with an organization’s long-term goals. It focuses on strategic workforce planning, talent management, and continuous development of overall business performance.
Based on what I have gathered from the topic and personal understanding my opinion is that Academics and HR professionals prioritise SHRM as it connects HR practices to business goals, enhancing organizational performance and competitiveness while highlighting the strategic role of HR. Adopting SHRM makes HRM more efficient and result-oriented, enhancing productivity, which benefits the organisation as a whole.Â
