Based on my reading, Alpha used polycentric approach to involve in their business and their HR leaders from Indian headquarters and subsidiaries in the developed market, USA and a developing market, China. This approach is the international recruitment which can help Alpha’s HR recruits the employees for the international businesses. Employees in Alpha have encouraged to 'think like CEOs,' and are supposed to run their 'business' as any CEO would to get a decent return on investment of time, effort, and money. Alpha trust that by engaging each employee to be and act as the CEO of their own business, it would be able to keep and encourage employees to their highest potential. Alpha motivated to localize the workforce in its overseas office to the extent possible. The rationale behind this approach is that local in the host country are more familiar with their culture and can manage a business more efficiently than their foreign counterparts.
