The first reason is that while GDP is rising, productivity is not. Workers around the world are working longer hours, but productivity is lagging behind. Human resources departments need to address this issue and increase productivity by making schedules more flexible and communicating with employees.
The second reason is that wages are relatively stagnant. Because of some economic reasons, such as inflation, the wages of enterprises in different regions are basically unchanged.
The third is that modern jobs require new skills. Jobs in almost every industry now require digitally savvy employees who can communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, and who can work in teams and across functional areas. Human resources departments need to actively support employees' career development and technical skills.
