The case study shows, that the company’s philosophy is to give every employee the opportunity to rise and shine as well as innovate and develop. To make sure, that the philosophy gets executed, every branch acts on its own and makes decisions for itself.

In addition Alpha does not have a hierarchical work environment. That means, that every employee is located at the same level, has the same rights to decide about company related decisions. But with the rights to decide and the ability to lead the branch comes with high expectations.

Since Alpha wants to give every employee the chance to prosper and be better than expected, I would recommend the poly-centric approach for the company.

The following facts support the poly-centric approach:

  • Independence of the personnel policy of each foreign branch.
  • The personnel can manage themselves.
  • Management functions are largely filled by local staff
