Why is it important?
Good people management can optimize productivity, engage employees, and develop a culture of innovation. It is a vital function that all leaders and managers in an organization should perform to create the best workplace. People are the organization’s most important assets.
A team leader or managers function will help to build teams or individuals
who are concerned to improve performance or results by using their strengths as
a team or individually.
For example, when Covid hit the country, during the pandemic the entire country went into lock down. Many organizations was still operating but from home. this for many people was the first time and it was new thing to do the work form home. Taking University's example, there are staff from many departments. as administration was also required to work from home, the leader communicated and arranged for laptops and the setup was done in order for the work to be done without any issue from home. Microsoft Teams came as a source of constant communication platform as well as whats app groups were created so all work and staff could update on every aspect of work and their well being as well. in the event any of the staff were unwell the other team members could step in and assist. same went for the administrative work which if any hurdles we could contact our superior and time to time the work operated from home without any issue.
