Founded in 1948 in the United States, SHRM now has more than 300,000 members in 165 countries around the world. Since 2011, SHRM has invested huge resources and brought together the efforts of 35,000 corporate HR managers and academic leaders from 33 countries around the world to create a globally recognized "Human Resource Capability Model".
