From my understanding of the case study, Alpha's internationalization process demonstrates a polycentric approach. The polycentric approach is a hiring and staffing method in which a country's international subsidiaries hire team members from the host country rather than the parent company's location. The polycentric approach shows in learning from and incorporating best practices from its subsidiaries in global markets, particularly in developing countries. The case study also confirms that Alpha is becoming truly globalized with its well thought of organizational capabilities in its corporate strategy, leadership vision, organizational structure and HR policies and practices.
An approach I would recommend for the multinational companies is the Geocentric approach. The Geocentric Approach is one method of international recruitment in which Multinational Companies hire the best employee for the job regardless of nationality.
