recent HRM revolution depends on economical and social reasons which change a lot in the general concept of the people management. I think globalization and the huge development in technology affect the nature of the people.  Moreover the high competition in the market from side and the lack of some capabilities from another side. To adapt with the changes that happen to the human and the environment in general HRM make a revolution to adapt these new circumstances.
