Based on the Alpha case study, it can be said that Alpha’s internationalization process shows an ‘adaptive or polycentric approach’ in learning from and embedding the best practices from its subsidiaries in global markets, particularly in advanced countries. Alpha has a strong company culture. The priority given to capture the essence of partnership, inclusivity and growth has paved the path of it being a successful company on a global level. The empowering and non-hierarchical work environment they practice has also allowed the company to excel well on an international scale. Having a process driven performance and reward management systems, a global mindset as well as strategic positioning of HR is a good way to adopt for global HR in multinational companies as shown by Alpha. Taking a long term view of the businesses, investing heavily in HRM practices and empowering employees in decision making is a great start towards adapting a global HR initiative.
