In my perspective I think both arguments have merit. The strategic approach genuinely adds value to businesses by aligning human resources with organizational goals, which is crucial in today’s dynamic business environment. However, it’s also reasonable to acknowledge that HR professionals and academics benefit from this shift by enhancing their influence and career prospects. The key is recognizing that these motivations are not mutually exclusive strategic alignment and professional growth can coexist productively.
