SHRM itself is very important as it guiding the company towards the goals not individually but with teamwork. It may sounds easy but growing a business is actually difficult to maintain because of the emerging trends which could include the competitive labor market, digital transformation, and social change.
For me, I would say it is both. Having self-interest in SHRM means we understand the importance and think in a long term benefits. Although some may think it is because of the strong business case, we still embrace it because we know it is important.
