In my opinion, organizations's HRM must fit with its strategy in its competitive environment,  thus SHRM links the HR function with the strategic objectives of the organization in order to improve performance and to provide a major competitive advantage

As we know that company is based on people, SHRM allows managers evaluate their position in relation to company's mission. Employees participates in strategic planning also have a stronger understanding of their functions within the organization.

With HRM understanding, they are enable to implement their strategies, to fit corporations long term direction with matching employees to reach its goals. In addition, each competitive strategy involves a unique set of responses from workers, therefore, SHRM is useful to product market logic and the corporate strategy.
