Focusing on employees' intellectual assets is the logical decision for managers once they look past the technological advancement which diminishes once achieved. Embracing the strategic HRM policies has assisted academics and HR professionals in securing great respect for this field of study and enhancing their status.
It seems obvious that strategic HRM has clear benefits to it, assisting companies in implementing effective HR policies to keep their employees happy and productive in accordance with business goals. However, it must be pointed out that doing anything "strategically" has some level of self-interest. The implementation of strategies in HRM results in satisfied employees, ultimately giving the HR department credit and respect. This eventually brings a higher sense of importance given to the field of HR, leading to the enhanced status and importance of all those working in and for the field of HR.
